# amp skills

> For AI agents: a documentation index is available at [/docs/llms.txt](/docs/llms.txt). Append `.md` to any page URL for markdown, or send `Accept: text/markdown`.

`amp skills` fetches implementation skill documents from the Developer API. These commands don't require OAuth scopes. They make unauthenticated GETs and reject write-oriented flags such as `--token`, `--dry-run`, `--yes`, and `--body-json`.

Use this surface when an agent should follow a published Amplitude procedure. Use [`amp help`](https://amplitude.com/docs/developers/cli/commands) when you need the CLI command catalog instead.

## `amp skills list`

Lists each available skill's name and when-to-use description.

```bash
amp skills list
amp skills list --json
```

With no `--env` or `--region`, `list` uses the active profile's base URL, or production when no profile exists.

## `amp skills get`

Prints one skill as markdown, including frontmatter. Redirect the output to a file when you want the exact bytes the server returned:

```bash
amp skills get integrating-amplitude
amp skills get integrating-amplitude > SKILL.md
amp skills get integrating-amplitude --json
```

`--json` wraps the document in `{ "data": { "name": "<name>", "document": "..." } }`.

If no default profile exists, pass `--region us` or `--region eu`. `amp skills get --help` lists the accepted flags.

Run `amp skills list` to discover names. The `integrating-amplitude` example is the usual starter skill when the registry includes it.
