Moving from one digital analytics platform to another requires work. You often must re-tag your digital properties and re-create new reports/dashboards. You also have to re-build a data taxonomy - the events and properties you track in your digital analytics platform.

Due to the recent Google Analytics Universal sunsetting announcement and some Google Analytics legal issues, Amplitude has had many organizations moving from Google Analytics to Amplitude. In the past, we already provided free [Google Tag Manager templates](https://amplitude.com/blog/google-tag-manager-template) to ease the transition.

In partnership with [BlastX](https://www.blastx.com/), we are excited to announce a new Google Analytics Universal to Amplitude Taxonomy Migration Tool. This tool allows your organization to easily import your current Google Analytics Universal taxonomy into a Google Sheet and determine which data elements you want to move to Amplitude. Once you have chosen which data elements you want to convert, the taxonomy migration tool will automatically create your new Amplitude data taxonomy. The Google Analytics Universal to Amplitude Taxonomy Migration Tool uses APIs from both Google and Amplitude to streamline the process so you can avoid the manual work needed to get up and running on Amplitude.

In this webinar, [Blake Woodson](https://www.linkedin.com/in/blake-woodson/) and [Joshua Barratt](https://www.linkedin.com/in/joshua-barratt-77446672/) from BlastX will provide a live demonstration of the taxonomy migration tool, and [Jeremy Echols](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeremyechols/) from Glassdoor will explain the rationale behind this tool and how he is using it with his GA Universal to Amplitude migration.
