## The fastest way to start sending data

Here are three setup paths for getting started quickly with Amplitude. They all send data to the same project, and you can switch between them later, so you are never locked into your first choice.

### Browser Snippet: \~2 minutes

Amplitude Browser Snippet offers the fastest possible browser install: about 2 minutes.

You paste one script into the \<head> of your site, set your API key, and start collecting browser data. There is no build step and no npm package to manage. The snippet includes Autocapture, which tracks page views, clicks, sessions, and form interactions automatically, plus [Session Replay](https://amplitude.com/session-replay) and remote config. It doesn’t set up AI-proposed custom events, though.

It is the right path for static sites, CMS-driven sites, or any project where a script tag is easier than an SDK install.

### AI Prompt: \~5 minutes

The Amplitude AI Prompt path is the fastest low-code path to a full SDK: about 5 minutes.

You copy one prompt into Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or your AI coding assistant, and it makes the implementation changes for a JavaScript web app.

You get a full SDK setup with [Autocapture](https://amplitude.com/docs/data/autocapture) and Session Replay enabled, plus remote config for feature flags and guides. It is built for teams that already work inside AI coding tools.

### Wizard CLI: 5 to 15 minutes

This is the most thorough installation path, and our recommended choice for [builders](https://amplitude.com/builders).

Run npx @amplitude/wizard from your project root. It detects your framework, signs you in, lets you pick your org and project, installs the right SDK, uses an AI agent to propose the events worth tracking, sets up [Amplitude MCP](https://amplitude.com/mcp-server) for your editor, and verifies that data reaches your project before it exits.

The same run configures Autocapture, Session Replay, Guides and Surveys, and [Feature Experimentation](https://amplitude.com/amplitude-experiment).

Many frameworks finish in under five minutes with the Amplitude Wizard CLI, while full, framework-aware setups take about fifteen.

***Note**: If you are syncing from a data warehouse, there is no single setup-in-X-minutes figure. However, the cadence once configured is fast: Snowflake and Databricks sources can sync as often as every five minutes, using append-only or Mirror Sync strategies depending on the use case.*

## How fast is your first insight?

Still only a few minutes!

**Regardless of which setup path you pick, you can go from signup to a usable chart in roughly 5 to 20 minutes.**

For more complex SDK work, where you need to wire up some events by hand without the wizard, you’re looking at a slightly longer range of 30 minutes to an hour or two before your first usable insight.

The only scenario in which you’d face a longer time-to-value timeframe is a large enterprise rollout that involves multiple teams, taxonomy alignment, program workshops, governance decisions, training, and a phased launch.

But for the product-led starts most AI-native teams experience, value arrives in minutes.

Fast setup doesn’t help a non-technical PM if the analysis still requires a query language.
