# New side navigation within Team Spaces — Amplitude Changelog

As part of a bigger overhaul of team spaces, the first milestone was to rethink how teams navigate through their content within a space (and incentivize exploration). Instead of a flat table, we built a side navigation so users can quickly understand what folders they have and click in-and-out of folders with ease.

# New side navigation within Team Spaces

As part of a bigger overhaul of team spaces, the first milestone was to rethink how teams navigate through their content within a space (and incentivize exploration). Instead of a flat table, we built a side navigation so users can quickly understand what folders they have and click in-and-out of folders with ease.

## What it is

**Description:** As part of a bigger overhaul of team spaces, the first milestone was to rethink how teams navigate through their content within a space (and incentivize exploration). Instead of a flat table, we built a side navigation so users can quickly understand what folders they have and click in-and-out of folders with ease.

**Why:** We know that users retain better when they view a mixture of Amplitude-generated beginner content (starter templates) *and* the user-generated content of their peers. We also know that starting to build off your team's chart is much easier and accessible than starting from scratch. Spaces are how we imagine a new user being connected to their team's work, and starting that exploration process so upgrading the core functions of a space are a Q1 priority.

**Where:** Every space will feature the new navigation system, just look to the left side of the screen!

**Available in EUDC:** Yes
