Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Impact

At Amplitude, we are challenging the norms and challenging ourselves to foster a truly inclusive culture.

What we believe

At Amplitude, we are challenging the norms and challenging ourselves to foster a truly inclusive culture.

Fostering Inclusion
Fostering Inclusion

Amplitude believes that fostering a culture of inclusion, grounded in equity and diversity, broadens perspectives, engages employees, encourages team building, and helps create a positive environment in which to work and grow.

Recognizing Diversity
Recognizing Diversity

We recognize that people of diverse backgrounds — including women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals and beyond — are underrepresented and undervalued within the tech industry.

Social Impact
Social Impact

We believe that giving back our time, product, capital, and knowledge is essential. By doing so, we are working towards creating more accessibility within the technological space and an inclusive company culture that retains, develops, and supports top talent.

Our anti-racism philosophy

Anti-racism: [verb] To actively identify, challenge, and change the beliefs, structures, and behaviors that perpetuate systemic racism

At Amplitude, we are committed to Anti-Racism, by which we mean:

  • An internal commitment to dismantle the systems that lead to inequality; a commitment to a culture where every Ampliteer feels respected, valued, and has opportunities for advancement.
  • An external commitment to invest in the communities we want to hire from.

Our vision is to design a culture that leads the way on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; one where everyone knows and feels that they are welcome and valued.

We want to set the bar on how tech companies create cultures of diversity and belonging; we want to be a workplace others look to model themselves after.

DEI Report

Amplitude is proud to continue moving towards our goal of creating an environment of belonging for all and grounding our efforts in our core values of humility, ownership, and growth mindset. We faced a lot of headwinds this year, but we continue to build out tools and resources to help our teams bring our values to life. We understand that DEI work is not a sprint or marathon but a never-ending initiative every Ampliteer must take on. With our third DEI report, we continue to share and analyze the quantitative data related to our DEI goals and strategy: one company, many beautiful voices.

Partnership with Tech for Black founders

Today, only 1% of founders backed by venture capital in the United States are Black. This is appalling and shows how the odds are stacked against Black technologists and entrepreneurs. The onus is on us in the tech community to start evening the odds. In an effort to provide concrete, long-lasting support, we are coming together to make our software completely free to U.S.-based, early-stage startups led by Black founders.
