Roles and Permissions
Guides and Surveys permissions let you override a user's base Amplitude role to grant different access for Guides and Surveys.
RBAC-enabled organizations
If your organization uses Role-based Access Controls (RBAC), manage Guides & Surveys permissions through the centralized RBAC interface at Settings > Role management. The instructions on this page apply only to organizations that don't use RBAC.

|---|---|
| No access | Can't view the Guides and Surveys section. |
| Viewer | Can view Guides and Surveys, but can't edit or run experiments. |
| Member | Can edit draft Guides and Surveys. Can't publish or edit published guides or surveys. Can't run experiments. |
| Manager | Full access to Guides and Surveys. |
| Administrator | Full access to Guides and Surveys. |
To update a user's access to Guides and Surveys:
- Go to Guides and Surveys > Permissions. A list of your organization's users appears.
- Select one or more users, then select Manage Project Access.
- If your organization has more than one project, select the projects where you want to update the user's role.
- Select the updated role for each project.
