Install the Amplitude CLI
Prerequisites
amp requires Node.js 22.22.0 or later (the 22.x release line).
Install globally
bash
npm install -g @amplitude/developer-cli
amp help
Run without installing
To try a command without a global install, run the package with npx:
bash
npx @amplitude/developer-cli help
Upgrade
Re-run the global install command to pull the latest published version:
bash
npm install -g @amplitude/developer-cli
Confirm which version is active:
bash
amp version
Uninstall
bash
npm uninstall -g @amplitude/developer-cli
Next, set up a credential in Authentication.
