Bookmark Session Replays
Bookmarking a session replay pins it so that Amplitude doesn't auto-delete the replay when your retention period expires. You can access all your bookmarked replays from the Bookmarks card on the Session Replay Introspection dashboard. Use bookmarks to revisit sessions you've flagged for investigation, collaboration, or reference.
By default, Amplitude auto-deletes session replays after your project's retention period (typically 30 days). When you bookmark a replay, Amplitude exempts the replay from that policy. The replay stays available indefinitely until you remove the bookmark.
Use bookmarks to help you:
- Bug preservation: Bookmark a replay that shows a critical bug before your retention period expires. The replay stays available for as long as you need for incident investigation or engineering reference.
- UX review: Save sessions that illustrate a confusing or broken user flow so you can return to the sessions during design reviews without searching your replay list.
- Customer support: Pin a replay tied to an open support case so you can reference the exact user experience while the case is active.
Bookmarks are specific to each user. Your bookmarks aren't visible to other team members.
Bookmark a replay
- Open the session replay you want to bookmark.
- In the player toolbar, select the bookmark icon. The icon fills in to confirm the bookmark.
- Amplitude saves the replay to your Bookmarks list.
- In the main Session Replay section, click the Bookmarks tab to view all of your saved replays.
To remove a bookmark, select the filled bookmark icon again. The icon returns to its unfilled state and Amplitude removes the replay from your Bookmarks list.
You can also bookmark Replay Insights directly from the Insights view.
