Filter your dashboards
Amplitude Academy
Getting Started with Amplitude Analytics
Learn the most fundamental features of Amplitude Analytics, including cohorts.
Get startedA dashboard filter applies a date range, interval, property, or saved segment across all of a dashboard's charts. Use a dashboard filter when you want to change the scope of the whole dashboard. To change the scope of one chart, edit that chart instead.
To apply a filter, follow these steps:
- Open the dashboard where you’d like to apply a filter.
- To filter by interval, click the Daily dropdown and select the interval.
- To filter by date range, click one of the preset values, such as last seven days, 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days. You can also set the date range manually using the date picker.
- To filter by property, click Add Filter and choose the property you want to filter on. Then enter the value. You can select more than one property to include in your filter.
Apply a saved segment
Saved segments in dashboard filters are in Early Access. Only customers with Segments V2 can use this feature.
A saved-segment dashboard filter applies the same reusable audience definition to every chart while preserving each chart's existing segments. Use a saved segment when you want a consistent audience across the dashboard. Use a property filter instead when you need a one-time condition that you don't plan to reuse.
Select a saved segment from the dashboard's global filter bar. Amplitude combines the saved segment with each chart's existing segment conditions and saves the applied segment with the dashboard.
After you apply a filter, click Copy URL to share your bulk changes with others. Opening this URL opens your dashboard with the bulk filter already applied.
