Salesforce Marketing Cloud V2
Salesforce Marketing Cloud provides marketing engagement automation to engage your users. This integration combines Amplitude's analytics with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You can export Behavioral Cohorts from Amplitude to Salesforce Marketing Cloud to better target campaigns and increase user engagement.
Differences between v1 and v2
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud v2 integration includes several key improvements.
In the v1 integration, you had to manually create a data extension within Salesforce Marketing Cloud called "Amplitude Engage" and add a dedicated field to it before performing a cohort sync.
In the v2 integration, follow the standard cohort sync process in Amplitude. Salesforce Marketing Cloud automatically creates a new data extension with a standardized cohort name in the specified folder (or in the default folder 'Data Extensions').
Considerations
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud v2 integration is only available on paid Amplitude plans.
Enable this integration in each Amplitude project that uses it.
Anonymized UUIDs as identifiers in both Amplitude and Salesforce Marketing Cloud work for this integration, so you don't have to send email addresses or PII to Amplitude.
Amplitude automatically creates new contacts within the Data Extension in Salesforce Marketing Cloud for users who don't already exist within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Depending on your company's network policy, you may need to add the following IP addresses to your allowlist so Amplitude's servers can access your BigQuery instance:
- Amplitude US IP addresses:
- 52.33.3.219
- 35.162.216.242
- 52.27.10.221
- Amplitude EU IP addresses:
