#NorthStarMetric 21-Day Challenge

Over the next 21 days, we're diving into mapping inputs to outcomes by focusing on a key component: the North Star Metric.

Twice a week, we'll give you prompts to help with your North Star Metric, explainer videos, and examples and resources so you can build your skills and become more metrics-driven in your work.

By the end of this challenge, you'll have a refined North Star Metric and be ready to build out proxy metrics and experiments to help move those forward.

Week 1

Your audience and their problem

Define your audience and the problem you're solving for. You'll fill in three prompts to identify who your target customer is (just choose one), what is the key problem you're solving for, and what is the context in which their pain or frustration occurs.

Week 2

Core Value Statement and Critical Actions

Identify your product's core value statement and unique differentiators. To complete the picture, think about your Critical Action, the one thing you want your users to do every single time they use your product. Then, think about how often you expect user to perform this actions. And lastly, think about how you make money (transactions, subscriptions, ad views, etc)
