This integration will allow you to seamlessly connect Amplitude cohorts and events with VWO, while also allowing you to push VWO campaign data back into Amplitude for deeper insights. Here are the primary use cases you can leverage:
Use cases
Send Amplitude Events to VWO Testing- With Amplitude as your primary Customer Data Platform (CDP), onboarding VWO becomes straightforward. If you are already tracking events in Amplitude, there’s no need for duplicate configuration in VWO as you can directly utilize Amplitude events in your VWO test, and personalization campaigns. For example, suppose you're running an experiment in VWO that tracks 'add to cart’ event as a metric, then you can directly use the event configured in Amplitude, eliminating the need to redefine it in VWO.
Send Amplitude Cohorts to VWO Testing- You can also directly use Amplitude cohorts to set up targeting in VWO test campaigns. For instance, if you have defined your customer ‘cohort’ in Amplitude you can easily import it to your VWO campaign and run tests on those users. No need to additionally define that user group in VWO.
Send Amplitude Cohort to VWO Insights- Apart from VWO Testing, you can also import Amplitude cohorts to VWO Insights for a more targeted analysis. Use Amplitude cohorts to create custom views for session recordings and heatmaps. Or, use it to target Surveys, and enable form tracking for a particular user group. You can similarly use it across the VWO Insight platform.
Send VWO Campaign data to Amplitude- This integration also enables you to send VWO campaign info to Amplitude, allowing you to correlate experiment results with detailed behavioral data. So while VWO tells you which variation won, with Amplitude, you can dive deeper into why that variation performed better by analyzing user interactions, journey flows, and engagement patterns.
