An MTU (monthly tracked user) is a unique user with one or more events in an organization within a calendar month. It can be either an anonymous user (which Amplitude will track via device ID) or an identified user (tracked by user ID).
MTU count is similar to the Monthly Active Users (MAU) count on your website or applications, provided they account for anonymous visitors identically. For more information on how to estimate and track MTUs, please refer to our MTU Help Center article here.
