What it is: Events in Amplitude have supported categories for some time, grouping taxonomy items into clusters like Onboarding, Checkout, or Marketing. That same support now extends to event and user properties. A sortable, filterable category column appears on both the Event Properties and User Properties tables, with inline editing from each property's side pane. The category selector draws from active categories across events and properties together, so everything lives in one list.
