Different vendors meter on different units (events vs MTUs vs sessions vs MAUs vs context keys), and the numbers below normalize to this event volume where possible. Amplitude lets customers choose between MTU-based and event-based billing; where this analysis cross-references the two, it assumes a typical events-per-MTU ratio of ~1,000 (Amplitude's internal benchmark).
