Through partnerships with companies , we integrated with even more tools that our customers use every day. We’re really proud of that. But honestly, what we care about the most is how we help our customers move the needle. We want to equip any organization with data they can trust, so teams can confidently make more strategic decisions, pivot when needed, and ultimately drive growth.
As we look to the year ahead, I’m so energized as I reflect on some of the monumental wins we helped customers achieve in 2024. Let’s take a look at what we accomplished together.
3,825,063 questions answered
So many people think they have to be an SQL pro or analytics whiz to make sense of data. But we want anyone in an organization to have the insights they need to move work forward—without relying on an overstretched data team. When more people within an organization have the power to use data and analytics, they can make faster, more effective business decisions, be more productive, and grow their competitive edge in a cutthroat market.
In 2024, we helped our customers answer nearly four million questions. One especially impactful story that I love to share is about the folks at , a leading compliance platform. The Drata team wanted to optimize their onboarding flow to get customers up and running faster, so they came to Amplitude to ask: What’s stopping people from getting through onboarding?
By combining data with customer feedback, Drata learned that certain users struggled to complete the onboarding process, which slowed down the rest of the organization. Regardless of their role, these users followed the same onboarding steps, which meant some people had to complete requirements that were unnecessary to their position. For example, a consultant joining a company doesn’t need to install and use every app the in-house team uses.
Based on this insight, the so that customers can tailor their own onboarding flow to different users and groups, saving time and increasing efficiency. Customers jumped on the feature: Drata expected a few hundred customers would adopt it, but over 2,000 customers got on board, implementing around 13,000 exclusions.
So what’s next? Increasingly, users want to skip the process of building charts and dashboards—they just want to get to the answer. That’s why we built , our AI-powered assistant that helps users ask and answer questions in plain natural language. Since shipping it this fall, over 60,000 questions (equating to a 605% increase!) have been answered with Ask Amplitude.
18,810,000,000,000 events ingested
Data is the key to unlocking growth. By ingesting and analyzing a wealth of data, you gain a holistic view of your customers’ behaviors so you can make smarter decisions. With diverse data sources at your fingertips, you can uncover actionable insights, spot patterns, and deliver personalized experiences at scale.
In 2024, the Amplitude platform ingested nearly 19 trillion events—yes, you read that right—trillions. These events came from a ton of places—instrumented via our SDK; from CDPs like Segment and Telium; from data warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, and Big Query; and from several marketing systems including Braze, Iterable, Google, Facebook, and many others. Our customers were able to deliver more tailored interactions, seamless journeys, and solutions that truly meet end-user needs—all of which help drive retention, satisfaction, and loyalty.
90,195 new experiences tested through experiments
It’s no surprise that organizations who test their assumptions and analyze the numbers to inform their decision-making drive more ROI. That’s why we’re thrilled to see our customers run a lot of experiments—in fact, over 90,000 new experiences were tested through experiments just this year.
, a multinational broadcaster, . When the team was grouping episodes into “best of” collections, they were concerned that showing just highlights might turn off viewers who wanted to watch a series from the beginning. So they ran an A/B test in Amplitude—the first test showed an overview of TV series, movies, or specials, while the second featured individual episodes. After discovering that users engaged more with content when they saw the overview first, even if it took a few more steps to get to the first episode, they updated the homepage design and increased engagement significantly.
31,863,238 total replays captured
We in February 2024 to help our customers get a clear picture of what their customers love, where they get hung up, and how to drive engagement. Session Replay enables you to watch a visual rendering of how users interact with your product so you can understand what’s causing friction and uncover new user needs and feature ideas. I was blown away when I discovered that since the beginning of the year, our customers have captured nearly 32 million replays!
Here at Amplitude, we use our own Session Replay product to inform our product development process. For example, after launching a self-service checkout flow for our new Plus plan, to identify any friction points. Jules Lee, our Principal Product Researcher, quickly identified when customers deviated from the intended flow or became distracted by something else during the experience. With Session Replay, we were able to devise a new user flow, test it before rollout, and improve conversion rates.
