Chart Alerts via Slack
Custom alerts for charts can now be set up to send to one or more Slack channels, in addition to our existing email-based alerts.
What it is
Description: Custom alerts for charts can now be set up to send to one or more Slack channels, in addition to our existing email-based alerts.
Why: Customers use chart alerts to keep up-to-date with any anomalies in their chart data; sending notifications outside our product when these alerts are triggered helps keep customers engaged even when outside Amplitude and provides an actionable hook to dive deeper by opening the chart to view in Amplitude.
Where: From the chart page, click on the notification bell :bell: in the toolbar and then 'Manage Alert' in the popover that appears. From there, you can search through your available Slack channels and select any that you want alerts for the chart to appear in.
