Spend any time in the digital analytics world and you’ll find that exaggeration, hyperbole, or being over-the-top generally isn’t a thing.
In the high-stakes AI-driven business of digital products and experiences, it’s all about the data, the insights you get, the actions you take to improve, and how fast you can spin that flywheel.
So when we say that today’s news is exciting and gratifying—as well as being a pivotal moment for our customers, our category, and the industry as a whole—we really mean it.
That news? The first-ever was published late last week, and Amplitude was named a Leader and a Customer Favorite.
In the report, ten vendors were evaluated across 37 specific criteria grouped into two categories: Current Offering and Strategy. We’re proud to say that Amplitude received the highest score in the Current Offering category, the highest possible scores in 21 of the criteria, and recognition as a Customer Favorite.
That’s a big deal to us for a few reasons:
- It’s the first time a major industry analyst firm has formally evaluated the category with a ranking report. That reflects the vision that our founders—Spenser, Curtis, and Jeffrey—had back in 2012 to help companies understand what their users love, what they don’t, why, and what they can do about it. And it’s a testament to the sheer size, scale, and impact that digital analytics platforms will continue to have in the future.
- It reflects an acceleration in the shift away from singular, point solutions as everyone from startups to global enterprises look to simplify their tech stacks and invest in integrated platforms that scale. The future is clearly all about the AI-powered platform. And that Amplitude ranks as a Leader is humbling and gratifying in equal measure.
- It shines a spotlight directly on AI, its disruptive role in revolutionizing digital analytics, and just how visionary and daring vendors will need to be to succeed. That’s one reason why we’ve re-architected Amplitude from the ground up to be AI-native and AI-led. And why our will evolve us from a platform you use into a team of virtual experts you lead.
The report points to what the world’s leading teams already know: The old world of point solutions, web analytics, and siloed dashboards isn’t enough. The future belongs to platforms that integrate product, marketing, experience, and AI to drive real-time insight and action across the entire customer lifecycle. That’s exactly what we’ve spent the last decade building, and it’s the category we want to lead for decades ahead.
Digging deeper
“Amplitude is ideal for product-led organizations where product and marketing teams need close alignment and ease of use is a priority.”
In The Digital Analytics Solutions Landscape, Q2 2025, Forrester defines “Digital Analytics Solutions” as “solutions that collect, analyze, visualize, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data from digital channels, like web and mobile applications, to help organizations identify how to improve various aspects of the digital experience, such as product usage, experience design, the effectiveness of digital marketing channels, or digital experience performance.” It’s a category that now includes everything from app usage to UX friction, session replay, and voice-of-the-customer, all working together to support real-time, insight-driven decisions.
As mentioned in the Wave report, Forrester selects and studies a wide array of vendors that fit this definition. It then uses 37 different criteria to evaluate those vendors’ current offerings and their overall strategy for the future.
Interestingly, we are one of only two Leaders in the entire category, and we also received the highest score in the current offering of all evaluated vendors—a fact that alone is gratification enough given our relentless focus on building a unified, enterprise-grade, AI-first digital analytics platform.
“Customer references praise Amplitude’s collaborative, partner-like approach—a key differentiator even beyond digital analytics.”
In the report, our reference customers praised several of our traits:
- Partner-like approach: We’re in the trenches with our customers, helping them grow smarter and faster.
- Ease of use: We provide intuitive tools that empower teams, technical or not, to ask questions and get answers.
- Query engine speed: Our fast, reliable query engine supports exploration at scale.
- Favorable cost to value: We demonstrate powerful ROI across the board.
- Seamless product integration: Our platform works seamlessly with existing tech stacks, from data warehouses to customer engagement platforms.
We are grateful for this wonderful feedback from our customers and believe it complements our many other areas of strength, such as:
- Built for real-world data stacks: Analyze warehouse data directly in Amplitude, combine it with behavioral signals, and sync insights back for activation or modeling.
- Designed for decisions and actions, not just dashboards: Our storytelling tools help teams add context, explain the “why,” and act faster.
- Flexible pricing that scales: From free to enterprise, our tiers support how teams actually grow rather than just how vendors charge.
So what comes next?
For years, the analytics world was dominated by legacy players built for what we believe is a different era of the web. Today, these players may still be part of many enterprise stacks—but the needs and pace of modern teams have shifted. The category is shifting now, too.
In what feels like the blink of an eye, AI has completely changed the world. What was a pipe dream six months ago is now passé. What once took many people months can now take one person minutes. And what was once complex can now be completed with a single prompt.
“Its roadmap is compelling, with a beta release of an analytics agentic AI system.”
As a result, AI is being adopted faster than any other technology in history. It brings knowledge, skills, and opportunity to more people than ever before. It is reshaping how product, marketing, and data leaders build, ship, learn, and improve. And it is redefining how companies evolve, grow, and succeed.
This is the moment that Amplitude was created for. The way we see it, it recognizes everything we’ve built to date, yet sets the bar for the future higher than ever before.
Being named a Leader is a proud milestone, but it’s not the destination. With AI Agents evolving, platforms expanding, and the next generation of builders expecting tools that think and act with them, we’re more energized than ever to lead the way. Let’s go!
